Defamation Case: Dhruv Rathee Takes A Dig At BJP Spokesperson After Being Summoned By Delhi Court

Popular YouTuber Dhruv Rathee has responded to the defamation suit filed by BJP Mumbai spokesperson Suresh Karamshi Nakhua. Earlier, a Delhi Court issued summons to Dhruv Rathee in connection with the case. In a post on X, the YouTuber mocked Suresh Karamshi Nakhua by referring him as an "abusive uncle."
"One abusive BJP uncle has filed a ₹20 Lakh court case against me because I called him abusive," wrote Rathee in X on Wednesday. "Why does he have such a passion for insulting people? Now the uncle's history of abuse will be made public again," added the YouTuber in the post. Earlier, the BJP spokesperson alleged that Dhruv Rathee referred to him as a part of “violent and abusive trolls” in his YouTube video titled “My Reply to Godi Youtubers | Elvish Yadav," which was uploaded on July 7.

According to a LiveLaw report, Suresh Karamshi Nakhua has sought Rs. 20 lakhs in damages from the YouTuber for “defamation caused to him on cyber space.” The lawsuit also stated that the allegedly false accusations made by Dhruv Rathee have led to widespread condemnation and ridicule of Nakhua. Meanwhile, the Delhi court has issued notice to Dhruv Rathee on the plea of Nakhua and added that the matter will be heard next on August 6.
