Flight Makes Emergency Landing After Passenger Finds Live Mouse In Meal

A Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) flight was forced to make an emergency landing after a mouse scurried out of a passenger's in-flight meal. The flight, from the Norwegian capital Oslo to Malaga in Spain, made the emergency landing in Copenhagen on Wednesday.
An airline spokesperson told the AFP news agency that the diversion was an established procedure for safety reasons, reported the BBC. Meanwhile, passengers later traveled to their original destination on a different aircraft. "This is something that happens extremely rarely. We have established procedures for such situations, which also include a review with our suppliers to ensure this does not happen again," the spokesperson added.
Jarle Borrestad, a passenger on the flight, told BBC in a recorded video that the mouse escaped from the box of food that the woman sat next to him on the flight was opening. At the same time, he also said that the situation was very calm and that people "were not stressed at all." Recently, a train in Britain was cancelled after a pair of squirrels boarded the service.
