Ministry Implements Strict Penalties for Violations of Security Surveillance Cameras Law in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh - The Ministry of Interior has announced the penalties that will be imposed on individuals who violate the provisions of the Security Surveillance Cameras Law. The implementation of these penalties aims to ensure the effective functioning and protection of security surveillance systems in Riyadh.

According to the ministry, a fine of SR20,000 will be imposed on anyone found guilty of transmitting or publishing recordings that violate the provisions of the law. Additionally, individuals who damage or sabotage security surveillance camera system devices or recordings will also face the same penalty.

The ministry further emphasized that a fine of SR10,000 will be levied for each violation of installing security surveillance cameras in prohibited areas. It is essential to adhere to the designated guidelines and avoid placing cameras in areas where their installation is prohibited.

Furthermore, a penalty of SR5,000 will be enforced for individuals who fail to keep recordings as required by the specified period mentioned in the document related to the terms and conditions.
