Riyadh Air Set to Soar Higher: Expansion Plans to Increase Fleet Size Revealed

Riyadh, - Riyadh Air, the recently established airline under the Public Investment Fund, is preparing to announce a significant deal that will solidify its expansion plans to enhance its fleet size, Osamah Al-Nuwaiser, the Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Communications at Riyadh Air, revealed today.

Recognizing the importance of expanding and diversifying the airline's fleet, Al-Nuwaiser emphasized that integrating aircraft from other companies is crucial to achieving Riyadh Air's strategic goals in the aviation and travel sector. He further explained that all future mergers and acquisitions would undergo rigorous internal reviews, technical evaluations, and commercial assessments to ensure the utmost efficiency.

Anticipated to receive its inaugural aircraft during the first quarter of 2025, Riyadh Air plans to progressively add a total of 39 aircraft to its fleet throughout the same year. Al-Nuwaiser also highlighted that these incoming aircraft would undergo comprehensive testing operations, including crew and pilot assessments conducted in collaboration with the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) and relevant entities in the field.

Excitement continues to grow as Riyadh Air prepares to unveil its first destinations in the upcoming months. Al-Nuwaiser announced that the airline's services and in-flight cabin offerings would be announced within the current year, promising an exceptional travel experience for passengers.

In March 2023, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced the establishment of Riyadh Air, with the aim of bolstering the aviation sector's growth and enhancing the kingdom's strategic positioning. As per earlier reports, Riyadh Air seeks to contribute significantly to the development of the aviation industry and become a key player on the global stage.

With ambitious plans to serve more than 100 destinations worldwide by 2030, Riyadh Air's commitment to growth and excellence is evident. The airline made its initial mark in the industry by placing an order for 72 Boeing Dreamliner aircraft of the 787-9 model, signaling its determination to provide world-class travel experiences to its passengers.
