Riyadh: SAUDIA, Saudi Arabia's national airline, has unveiled a strategic plan to generate over 10,000 specialized quality jobs in the aviation sector in the years to come, according to Abdullah AlShahrani, General Manager of Communication and Media Affairs and Spokesperson for the airline.
These job opportunities encompass a wide range of roles, including pilots, cabin navigators, maintenance technicians, as well as specialists in the shipping and logistics sector, as reported by Al Eqtisadiah newspaper, citing AlShahrani.
AlShahrani highlighted that the company has achieved the localization of the co-pilot position, and they are now working towards the complete localization of the pilot position in line with their strategy.
As SAUDIA continues to expand its fleet, the airline is actively securing new aircraft and executing relevant deals. AlShahrani stated that while some recent deals have already been announced, the airline is preparing to unveil another major agreement soon.
These endeavors by SAUDIA align with the ambitious Saudi Vision 2030, which involves the development of a robust aviation industry and increased flight capacity. To achieve these goals, a substantial number of aircraft and flights are required, necessitating a significant number of skilled and competent national professionals.
