Sheikh Hamdan Approves Dubai Quality Of Life Strategy 2033
|The highly anticipated project is set for implementation in three phases from 2024 to 2033.
Sheikh Hamdan, the Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, has approved the ‘Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033.' The strategy, encompassing a holistic and integrated approach to wellbeing, consists of over 200 projects, initiatives, and plans. The goal of the program is to ensure the overall well-being of all community members, including citizens, residents, and visitors.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Sheikh Hamdan said that the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033 aims to turn Dubai into to the world’s best city to live in. Notably, the initiative, which is aligned with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, seeks to ensure that all residents can access essential services within a 20-minute journey. "The strategy encompasses ten key pillars, all dedicated to fostering the wellbeing of individuals, society, and the city," said the Crown Prince. "Dubai’s name will become synonymous with fine living worldwide," added the Crown Prince.

The highly anticipated project is set for implementation in three phases from 2024 to 2033. As part of the first phase, more than 115 km of pedestrian and cycling tracks will be built, more than 3,000 trees and plants will be planted, and more than 20 investment opportunities will be created for the residents of Al Khawaneej 2 and Al Barsha 2. In addition, the plan also involves landscaping, constructing distinctive architectural gateways for each residential community.
Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033 also focuses on seven major demographic categories. This include women, seniors, nationals, people of determination, children, youth, and white-collar workers. The private sector will play an active role as the strategy includes 100 projects and initiatives that can be implemented in partnership with the private sector. All projects initiated under the strategy will be overseen by a new office dedicated to enhancing quality of life in Dubai, in coordination with over 19 government entities and dozens of private organisations.
