Zelenskyy said that the defence relationships with Ukraine's partners would have to change.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has accused North Korea of supplying troops to Russia to aid its war in Ukraine. In a video address on Sunday, Zelenskyy said that the defence relationships with Ukraine's partners would have to change. South Korea's defence minister also recently said that North Korea is likely sending its soldiers to fight in Ukraine alongside Russian troops.

“We see an increasing alliance between Russia and regimes like North Korea. This is no longer just about transferring weapons. It is actually about transferring people from North Korea to the occupying military forces," said the Ukrainian President in the video, as quoted by Reuters. "The front line needs more support. We are talking about more long-range capabilities for Ukraine and more sustained supplies for our forces rather than a simple list of military hardware," Zelenskyy added.

At the same time, Russia has dismissed South Korea's claim that North Korea was sending its troops to fight in Ukraine. "This looks like another bit of fake news," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said while responding to South Korea's claim. It is to be noted that North Korea and Russia have strengthened their relationship since Moscow began its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
