Indian Embassy Hosts Cultural Fest and Interaction with Indian University Students in Qatar

Doha, 28th September 2024 – The Indian Embassy, in collaboration with the Indian community, organized a lively Cultural Fest and interactive session with Indian university students in Qatar on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the Indian Cultural Centre. The event showcased the vibrancy of Indian culture through colorful performances by students.

Vipul, Ambassador of India to Qatar, underscored the significance of cultural exchange and education in strengthening community ties. He further announced plans to make the event an annual celebration, marking the beginning of a yearly cultural festival for Indian college students in Qatar. The Ambassador encouraged students to remain connected with the community and actively engage in its activities.

The festival featured an array of cultural performances, including semi-classical dances, a skit promoting the "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao" initiative, poetry recitations, impromptu Hindi speeches, and a special showcase of "Costumes of India," symbolizing the richness and diversity of Indian heritage.

The event not only celebrated the cultural identity of Indian students in Qatar but also fostered a strong sense of community among the Indian youth diaspora, providing a platform for them to display their talents and reconnect with their roots.
