The National Center of Meteorology predicts soaring temperatures and unexpected rainfall in summer 2024

RIYADH: Brace yourself for an intense summer in Saudi Arabia! The National Center of Meteorology (NMC) has announced that the summer season will officially commence on June 1 this year. As temperatures continue to rise in the eastern and central regions, the Kingdom's summer resort destinations are anticipating higher than average rainfall during the scorching season.

In a statement, NMC Spokesman Hussein Al-Qahtani warned of extremely hot conditions ahead. Recent days have already seen a rise in temperatures since the end of spring, with weather fluctuations ranging from rain showers to sandstorms witnessed across various parts of the country.
