UAE Announces Expansion Of 'Work Bundle' Platform
The initiative offers essential employment and residency services for private sector companies and individuals with a single, unified application form involving multiple entities
The United Arab Emirates government has unveiled the second phase of the Work Bundle platform. The UAE introduced this initiative to simplify and expedite the process of obtaining work permits and residency visas. Work Bundle, first introduced in Dubai in March, is now expanded to include all emirates through the digital ‘Work in UAE’ platform (workinuae.ae). Authorities made this announcement during a media briefing in Dubai on Tuesday.
The initiative, in line with the UAE Government’s Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme, offers essential employment and residency services for private sector companies and individuals with a single, unified application form involving multiple entities. According to an Emirates News Agency report, Work Bundle offers the principle of requesting data only once, reducing procedures and requirements, and ensuring proactivity in service delivery.

Work Bundle provides users with a number of advantages, including reducing the number of platforms from five to a single unified platform that serves them with services. Additionally, the necessary steps are reduced from 15 steps requiring 16 documents to five steps needing only five documents. Notably, the time to process the necessary documents to acquire work permits and residency visas has been reduced from 30 days to five days. Meanwhile, the third phase of the initiative will cover domestic workers.
