MediaOne And Konnect Tourism Company Sign MOU To Boost Indian Tourism To Saudi Arabia

Kozhikode: In a significant move to enhance tourism ties between India and Saudi Arabia, MediaOne, a prominent Indian media company, has joined forces with Konnect, a leading tourism enterprise based in Saudi Arabia. Endorsed by the Saudi Tourism Authority, the partnership focuses on promoting Saudi Arabia as a prime destination for Indian tourists beyond religious pilgrimages.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was officially signed at the MediaOne headquarters in Kozhikode, marking a pivotal moment in strengthening tourism cooperation between Saudi Arabia and India. The event was attended by top executives from both companies, including Mahmood Hafiz, CEO of Konnect, and Roshan Kakkatt, CEO of MediaOne.
"We are thrilled about this partnership with MediaOne, one of the major media outlets in India. This represents a significant step in promoting Saudi Arabia’s diverse tourism offerings to the Indian market," expressed Mahmood Hafiz.
Under the terms of the MOU, MediaOne will organize various promotions and campaigns throughout South India to introduce and attract tourists to Saudi's rich cultural heritage and vibrant tourist spots. Special travel packages and offers will be part of these campaigns, designed to entice tourists who visit Saudi Arabia for pilgrimage to explore other attractions.
"This project is part of a broader Saudi-Indian collaboration. MediaOne will host numerous campaigns and roadshows across Kerala to promote this initiative," stated Roshan Kakkatt for MediaOne.
Ahad Hamsa Nihal, CMO of Konnect; KM Taqiyuddin, a member of MediaOne Management; and Hasanul Banna, MediaOne’s Regional Business Solutions Manager for Saudi and Bahrain, also marked their presence at the signing ceremony.
The alliance is set to implement its immediate actionable goals swiftly with plans to initiate campaigns before Ramadan, execute the campaigns in phases, and align deliverables with their timelines. The planning includes scheduling initial interactive events, establishing partnerships with local travel agents, launching backdoor marketing strategies to reposition Saudi Arabia in the Indian market, and regularly updating stakeholders on progress through set meetings and reports.
