Saudi Rail Conference And Exhibition Concludes In Riyadh

The inaugural Saudi Rail Conference and Exhibition, known as "Saudi Rail," concluded on Thursday in Riyadh. The event witnessed the participation of over 16,000 people. Various sessions featured more than 200 local and international experts and speakers who were engaged in discussions on key developments in the railway sector.
During the conference, several agreements, partnerships, and contracts were signed among participating entities. According to Saudi Press Agency report, among the major agreements signed was one between the Saudi Railway Company (SAR) and Kuwait Airways to integrate booking platforms for Kuwait Airways and the Haramain High-Speed Railway. Another major agreement was between Saudi Railway Polytechnic and the Royal Commission for AlUla.
Contracts were also signed between SAR and firms such as Yapı Merkezi Holding and the National Energy Services Company (Tarshid) to adopt energy-saving solutions and reduce energy consumption in the Northern Railway network. SAR Chief Executive Dr. Bashar bin Khalid Al-Malik highlighted that the signing of various high-profile agreements reflects the country's commitment to developing the railway sector and strengthening its position as a global logistics hub.
