Dubai Industrial City Announces Expansion

Dubai Industrial City has officially launched 13.9 million sq. ft. of additional land capacity within its ecosystem. This expansion, worth AED 410 million, is expected to strengthen local supply chains, stimulating homegrown manufacturing in the United Arab Emirates and Dubai. The announcement was made during the Make it in the Emirates Forum held in Abu Dhabi.
The Dubai Industrial City, established in 2004, is strategically located near major transportation hubs and thus provides specialised infrastructure suitable for a range of industries. The industrial and logistics hub, part of TECOM Group’s portfolio of business destinations, mentioned in its statement that the strategically located, well-connected land plots enhance the manufacturing destination’s land bank. The expansion has been unveiled following the notable performance witnessed by Dubai Industrial City in the past 18 months. As per the statement, the land occupancy at the manufacturing destination surged by 12% year-on-year (YoY) to reach 97% in the first quarter of 2024.

The launch was announced in the presence of Sarah Al Amiri, UAE Minister of State for Public Education and Advanced Technology, Omar Al Suwaidi, Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology and Malek Al Malek, Chairman of TECOM Group.
