Makkah Welcomes Young Pilgrims: Two New Centers Inside the Grand Mosque Provide Specialized Care for Children
makkah: The General Authority for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, in collaboration with various relevant government agencies, has established and commenced operations at two specially designed centers within the Grand Mosque. Situated in the third Saudi expansion, adjacent to Al-Haram Emergency Hospital, these centers have been carefully designed to provide a nurturing and safe environment for children.
Each day, the centers are able to accommodate approximately 1,500 children, catering to girls aged between 1 and 10 years old and boys aged 8 years old. With a specialized team of childhood center consultants overseeing their operations, these centers offer a range of features and services that cater to the unique needs of young pilgrims.
Upon entering the centers, children are provided with nutritious meals in a dedicated dining hall. The facilities also include an area where they can enjoy visual performances, educational models depicting the landmarks of the Two Holy Mosques, and simulations of the sacred rituals. Additionally, private rooms are available for children to rest and sleep comfortably during their stay.
The goal of these centers is to ensure that young pilgrims have a positive and memorable experience while visiting the Grand Mosque. By providing a nurturing environment and specialized care, these centers contribute to the overall well-being and enjoyment of children during their time in the holy city.
This initiative reflects the commitment of the General Authority for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques and collaborating government agencies to prioritize the needs of young pilgrims. The centers serve as a testament to their dedication in creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for all visitors, regardless of age.
As Makkah continues to attract pilgrims from around the world, these centers within the Grand Mosque stand as a testament to the kingdom's efforts to enhance the overall experience for visitors, ensuring that every member of the pilgrim community receives the necessary care and support to fully immerse themselves in this profound spiritual journey.
