UAE President To Begin State Visit To Kuwait On Sunday
The discussions during the visit will focus on various areas of cooperation, particularly in the economic, investment, and development sectors.
UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will commence a state visit to Kuwait on Sunday, November 10. During the visit, the President will meet with Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of Kuwait, to discuss the longstanding fraternal ties between their two countries.
The discussions during the visit will focus on various areas of cooperation, particularly in the economic, investment, and development sectors. The UAE and Kuwait share close ties across various levels. Both the countries have a rich history of fraternal relations and social and economic ties that have developed over many years.
According to Emirates News Agency report, relations between the UAE and Kuwait have notably developed over the past decades, encompassing various fields including political, economic, trade, military, security, cultural, and educational cooperation, resulting in dozens of agreements and joint memoranda of understanding. Meanwhile, the non-oil trade exchange between the two countries reached $12.198 billion last year. The UAE is the world's largest destination for Kuwait's non-oil exports, accounting for 22% of Kuwait's total exports. UAE also ranks third among the most significant import markets for Kuwait after China and the United States.
