Al Hariq, Riyadh Unveils New Mountain Walking Path in Partnership with Darb Association

Al Hariq, Riyadh - The municipality of Al-Hariq Governorate in the Riyadh region has joined forces with the Darb Association to establish a mountain walking path at the historic site of Darb Ajlan. This landmark, located in the Na’am Center of Al Hareeq Governorate, aims to promote sports practice and foster a culture of mountain walking among members of society.

Spanning an impressive length of 2,500 meters and boasting a width of up to two meters, this newly established sports track reaches heights up to 100 meters. In collaboration with the association, the municipality has undertaken extensive restoration work on the road. Side barriers have been installed for safety purposes while parking lots and directional signs have been prepared for visitors' convenience. Additionally, a pedestrian bridge has been constructed to enhance accessibility and ensure utmost safety.

The establishment of this trail aligns with the municipality's vision to raise the quality of life and develop heritage and tourist sites across various regions within the Kingdom. By encouraging sports activities like mountain walking, they aim to contribute towards improving public health while fostering cultural and social engagement.

The historic Ajlan Trail holds significant historical importance as one of Al-Hariq Governorate's most vital ancient mountain roads.
