Bahrain has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China as part of measures to strengthen cooperation and exchange expertise in the communication sector. This comes during Bahrain King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's visit to Beijing. The agreement, signed between Bahrain's National Communication Centre and China Media Group, covers areas of cooperation including the exchange of news and media content and innovation in creative communication.

Ahmed Khalid Al Araifi, CEO of the National Communication Centre, emphasized that the strong ties between Bahrain and China in a number of fields are reflected in this agreement. This move is expected to pave the way for a new phase of cooperation in the communication sector. This deal is in line with the National Communication Centre's objectives to strengthen positive relationships with international and regional media organisations.

Meanwhile, Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Chinese President Xi Jinping announced the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries. Bahrain News Agency reported that the two countries agreed to boost communication at all levels, expand exchanges between government and parliamentary bodies, and enhance policy coordination to deepen political trust.
