Bahrain To Host 17th Arab Games In 2031

Bahrain has won the bid to host the 17th edition of the Arab Games in 2031. Meanwhile, Jordan will organise the 18th edition of the event in 2035. The announcement was made during the 22nd General Assembly meeting of the Union of Arab National Olympic Committees, held in Jordan. The meeting addressed various significant topics and approved several reports on its agenda.
Bahrain's delegation to the meeting included Fajer Jassim, Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) board member and Director of Arab and International Relations and Olympic Solidarity, and Ahmed Abdul Ghaffar, Executive Director of Operations. According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting reviewed reports on the 15th Arab Games held in Algeria in 2023 and the Arab Women’s Club Sports Games, held in Sharjah from February 2 to 12, 2024. Furthermore, the 2023 annual report, financial statements, and the independent auditor’s report for the fiscal year ending December 2023 were reviewed and approved.
