Saudi Air Traffic Marks Record 128 Million Passengers In 2024

Latest data marks a 15% surge compared to the previous year and a 25% rise from pre-pandemic levels

Saudi Arabia's air transport sector registered significant growth last year, achieving unprecedented records in passenger numbers. Over 128 million travelers passed through various airports across the country, with 59 million on domestic flights and 69 million on international routes. This figure marks a 15% surge compared to the previous year and a 25% rise from pre-pandemic levels.

The Air Traffic 2024 Report released by the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) highlighted that the number of flights across Saudi airports increased by 11% compared to 2023, reported Saudi Press Agency. As per the report, Saudi Arabia is now connected to more than 170 locations across the globe, a 16% increase in air connectivity. The four major airports in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, and Madinah accounted for 82% of the total air traffic.
