The Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) has announced the launch of the trial phase of its new e-services portal, “eSAMA." This initiative will enable individuals, government entities, and businesses to electronically access SAMA's services.
The e-services portal will automate services provided to different stakeholders through a unified and secure digital platform. According to SAMA, the portal offers 23 digital services in the initial phase. This includes exercising personal data subject rights, applying to join the Regulatory Sandbox, requesting access to open banking services, and submitting no-objection requests for senior leadership appointments.
The “eSAMA" portal aims to deliver a digital alternative to traditional methods of conducting transactions, improving the user experience through faster processing, easier access, and advanced data protection measures.
