Thunderstorms Expected Across Saudi Arabia with Strong Winds and Dust Stirring
Riyadh- The Saudi National Center of Meteorology has issued a weather alert, predicting thunderstorms to occur in several regions of the Kingdom over the next week. These thunderstorms will be accompanied by active downward winds, reaching speeds of more than 60 km/hour, creating dusty conditions.
According to the Center's forecast, moderate to heavy rain is expected in Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, Riyadh, and Al-Sharqiyah regions. The period from Saturday until Friday, May 11th, is expected to be particularly affected by these weather conditions.
The Center has also cautioned about possible phenomena accompanying the rainfall. These include torrential downpours, hailstorms, and rising waves along the coasts. Additionally, strong winds are expected, which may stir up dust and cause dusty conditions in various parts of the country.
Residents are advised to take necessary precautions during these weather events, such as staying indoors, securing loose objects, and avoiding unnecessary travel if possible. Drivers should exercise caution on the roads, especially during heavy rainfall or dusty conditions.
