The National Center for Artificial Intelligence at the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) CEO Dr. Yaser bin Mohammed Alonaizan stressed that AI is not an end in itself but a tool designed to serve humanity. Speaking on the second day of the Global AI Summit at a dialogue session titled "Serving Humanity with AI: From Ideation to Operation," he assured that AI will not replace jobs but rather enhance and streamline jobs and highlighted the need for responsible use of AI, taking into account potential risks.

Alonaizan clarified the distinction between business intelligence and AI, noting that business intelligence focuses on data collection and analysis for human decision-making, whereas AI is involved in every step, from data creation to model development and final judgment. He stressed the ethical considerations in AI development, calling for integrating ethics into AI design. According to Alonaizan, the relationship between AI and humans is complementary, with AI working alongside humans to make jobs more accessible and efficient, not replacing them.

Addressing the crucial role of data, he noted that AI systems rely heavily on effective data management and real-world application. Without robust data, AI cannot function optimally, he said, highlighting the AI contributions to sectors like justice, education, healthcare, and cultural preservation, all of which improve people’s quality of life. Alonaizan called for continuously improving AI technologies to ensure their effectiveness.

He pointed out that advanced AI systems enable seamless communication with machines, enhancing their capabilities and user experience. He cited successful projects like SDAIA’s ALLaM model, which "promises further development and impressive results." He also stressed the need for collaboration among specialized organizations and institutions to maximize the benefits of AI modeling technology. Developing effective AI solutions, he said, requires continuous efforts involving scientists, developers, and other experts to ensure the continuous evolution of AI systems to best serve users.
