The 33-year-old made 137 appearances for his country and was a central part of France’s World Cup triumph in 2018. Griezmann scored 44 times for the national side, which is only the fourth-most for France.
"It is with a heart full of memories that I close this chapter of my life. Thank you for this magnificent tricolor adventure and see you soon," the French superstar wrote in a post on X on Monday. His greatest moment on the national-team stage came at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, where France were crowned world champions for the first time since 1998.
