British School: Dubai South Signs Deal With Gems Education

Dubai South Residential District is all set to get a world-class British school soon. As part of the move, Dubai South has signed an agreement with GEMS Education. The GEMS Founders School, which will be located alongside Expo Road, is subject to the Knowledge and Human Development Authority’s approval. The school is scheduled to open in August 2024.

This initiative will be GEMS Education's fourth school to open under the Founders brand and its first in Dubai South. The school will be constructed on a 250,000 square foot campus and will offer facilities for students aged 3 to 18. In the coming years, the school also plans to expand its offerings to Year 13, leading to a total capacity of over 2,500 students. Registration for the new academic year will begin on June 1. 

The key facilities of the GEMS Founders School include spacious classrooms, fully equipped food tech and ICT labs, art and music rooms, and dedicated classrooms for language and Islamic studies. The campus will also feature a 25-metre competition-standard swimming pool, a football pitch, and multi-purpose sports halls. Dubai South, a master-planned city spanning 145 square kilometers, was launched as a Dubai Government project in 2006. The project is positioned as a major contributor to the social and economic development of the United Arab Emirates and Dubai. It is also considered a global hub for residential and commercial activity.
