Saudi Aramco and Riyadh Aviation signed a memorandum of understanding focusing on potential cooperation in multiple areas, such as low-carbon fuel supplies and sustainability, on the sidelines of the eighth session of the Future Investment Initiative in Riyadh.

Yasser Mufti, Vice President of Business Sector for Products and Customers at Aramco, confirmed that the memorandum expresses the desire of the two companies to adopt the latest technologies, improve experiences, and contribute to achieving sustainability goals, indicating that Aramco’s efforts in developing low-carbon fuels, its focus on digital transformation, and its expertise in the field of aviation provide a strong platform for potential cooperation with Riyadh Aviation.

Riyadh Air Chief Financial Officer Adam Boukadida said that the new Saudi carrier’s partnership with Aramco is in line with their ambitions to become a global airline committed to sustainability and low-carbon fuel, noting that they seek to benefit from the Saudi energy giant to improve their operational capabilities.
