Dubai is all set to host the Global Prompt Engineering Championship, the world’s biggest AI prompt challenge. The event will kick off on May 20 at Dubai's iconic Emirates Towers and Museum of the Future. Under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan, the Crown Prince of Dubai, the competition will feature 30 finalists competing across three categories for a prize fund worth AED 1 million in total.
These finalists, meticulously chosen from thousands of entries across 100 countries, will compete across three categories, including Art, Literature and Coding. A distinguished panel of judges will oversee the competition. The judges in the Art category include Benedetta Ghione (Art Dubai), Saeed Kharbash (Dubai Culture), and Mazen Abu Najm (Microsoft). In Literature, the judging panel comprised Mustafa Al Rawi (International Media Investments), Ahlam Al Bolooki (Emirates Literature Foundation), and Ramesh Chander (Google). In Coding, judges are Ashraf Khan (IBM), Abdul Rahman Al-Mahmoud (UAE Artificial Intelligence Office), and Ahmed El Sayed (Google).
The first day of the championship will push participants to their limits with four rounds across each category. Judges will evaluate contestants based on speed, quality, innovation, creativity, and accuracy. The top three challengers from each category will qualify for the final stage, which will take place on May 21 at the Museum of the Future. This global competition, spearheaded by the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence under the Dubai Future Foundation, will serve as a testament to Dubai's commitment to nurturing AI talent and fostering innovation across various sectors.
