Dubai To Set Up World's Largest Logistics Hub
As part of the project, Dubai Municipality has signed a partnership agreement with DP World
Dubai has launched the plan to develop the world's largest logistics hub for foodstuffs, fruit, and vegetable trade. The announcement of the mega project was made by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. As part of the project, Dubai Municipality has signed a partnership agreement with DP World.
The initiative is in line with Dubai's plans to enhance investment and economic opportunities. According to the Dubai Media Office, DP World has been tasked with the management, operation, and development of the logistics hub. Additional details of the project have not been disclosed. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said in a statement that the strategic location and advanced facilities of Dubai make it a commercial and investment hub that attracts major companies. The Vice President also added that the emirate aims to be a leading destination for markets, exports, and re-export operations across various sectors.

The agreement was signed by Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Group Chairman and CEO of DP World, and Dawood Al Hajri, Director General of Dubai Municipality. Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem noted that unveiling the world's largest foodstuffs, fruits, and vegetables market will strengthen the foundations of trade in this sphere across regional and global markets.
