Meta is rolling out Facebook Content Monetization beta, which merges in-stream ads, Ads on Reels, and the performance bonus into a single monetization program. The tech giant claimed that the change will make it easier for creators to earn from more content formats.

In a blog post on Wednesday, Meta said that Facebook has paid content creators more than $2 billion for videos, reels, photos, and text posts in the past year. During that period, payouts for reels and short videos have grown more than 80%. With Facebook Content Monetization, creators will only have to join one monetization program. From there, creators can monetize multiple formats and track their performance with one set of insights.

"This week we’re starting to send invitations to one million creators already monetizing on Facebook to join the beta, and will continue sending more invitations in the following months," added the company in the post. According to Meta, invited creators can join from the monetization tab of the Professional dashboard on mobile or Meta Business Suite on desktop. At the same time, open enrollment will not be available until 2025.
