Global AI Ecosystem: UAE Signs MoU With France
The agreement will encompass a range of areas of cooperation, including the construction of a data center and supercomputing infrastructure buildout
The Abu Dhabi Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technology Council (AIATC) and the French Ministry of Economy, Finance, and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty jointly signed a Memorandum of Understanding, which aims to develop the artificial intelligence ecosystems of both countries. This will be accomplished through a mix of partnerships and investment initiatives that support the responsible development and deployment of AI.
The agreement was signed by Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority, and French Minister Bruno Le Maire. The agreement will encompass a range of areas of cooperation, including the construction of a data center and supercomputing infrastructure buildout. With this move, the UAE and France are strengthening their strategic partnership. This project will enable both French and European enterprises to access reasonably priced AI training and inferencing capacity.
Both countries will also explore investment opportunities in start-ups and investment funds focused on AI models and next generation hardware. Together, France and the UAE will also explore an education initiative designed to deliver top-notch AI training in both nations in order to foster and develop talent within the AI ecosystems of the UAE and France.
