Google All Set For Annual Developer Conference

Tech giant Google is all set to hold the Google I/O 2024, the company's much awaited annual developers conference. According to Google, this year's event is taking place at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California, on May 14. The event is considered a platform for Google's big product announcements.
The event will kick off at 10:30 PM (IST) with a keynote talk, which will be livestreamed on Google's website and official YouTube channel. Google is expected to make announcements related to Android OS and hardware and is also likely to place significant focus on artificial intelligence (AI). Multiple reports suggest that more generative AI features are coming for Google’s apps. Google has an extensive plan, as The Verge reported that the company has been working on AI features that help with dining and shopping or finding EV chargers in Google Maps. Google Gemini is also likely to take centre stage on May 14.

Google's new products, including the Pixel Fold, the Pixel Tablet, and the budget-friendly Pixel 7A, were launched during Google I/O 2023. On that occasion, the company also unveiled Search Labs, and Google Maps unveiled a new “Immersive View for Routes” feature. At the same time, Google is probably going to reveal a preview of the Android 15 features that will finally be released in the upcoming months.
