Google Launches Gemini Mobile App In India
Android users will be able to download the Gemini app through the Play Store
Google has finally unveiled the Gemini mobile app in India. The app allows users to type, talk, or even add an image to get the assistance they need. Google also announced that the Gemini app, which offers advanced features, will support nine Indian languages alongside English. This includes Hindi, Malayalam, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
Android users will be able to download the Gemini app through the Play Store. The tech giant mentioned in a blog post that users can make use of Gemini by corner swiping, hitting the power button on select devices, or saying "Hey Google." Notably, Gemini access will be rolled out directly from the Google app for iPhone users in the country over the next few weeks.

"Exciting news! Today, we're launching the Gemini mobile app in India, available in English and 9 Indian languages. We’re also adding these local languages to Gemini Advanced, plus other new features, and launching Gemini in Google Messages in English," Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai wrote in his X handle on June 18. Additionally, Google is also bringing new capabilities of Gemini Advanced to India, including data analysis capabilities and file uploads. Users can upload multiple large documents, up to 1,500 pages total, and Gemini Advanced can then provide quick summaries, personalized feedback, and actionable insights.
