RIYADH — The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawa, and Guidance has recently announced a significant milestone, revealing that a total of 347,646 individuals have embraced Islam over the past five years. This remarkable achievement has been made possible through the tireless efforts of the Ministry's 423 foreign preachers and its extensive network of 457 Dawah societies that span across various regions of the Kingdom.
According to the Ministry's latest report, the number of conversions has witnessed a continuous and encouraging growth, with 21,654 individuals embracing Islam in 2019. This number significantly escalated to an impressive 163,319 new converts in the previous year, reflecting a consistent increase in the acceptance of Islam among non-Muslims.
This initiative embodies the Ministry's ongoing commitment to introducing the principles and teachings of Islam to non-Muslims, emphasizing its core values of tolerance, peace, and harmony. The Ministry aims to dispel misconceptions about the faith and establish an environment conducive to open dialogues, fostering understanding and mutual respect between different religious communities.
The Ministry's efforts have been instrumental in providing opportunities for individuals from diverse backgrounds to learn about Islam, ask questions, and embark on their journey of faith. By promoting a positive and accurate understanding of Islam, the Ministry strives to create an inclusive society that embraces diversity and cultural exchange.
The significant increase in conversions is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the Ministry's preachers and Dawah societies, as well as the welcoming nature of the Saudi community in supporting those who decide to embrace Islam.
