Tesla Recalls 46,000 Cybertrucks In US
This is reportedly the eighth recall of the Tesla-made vehicles since January 2024.

Tesla announced its decision to recall nearly all of its Cybertrucks in the United States. The Elon Musk-owned company made this decision to fix an exterior panel that could detach while driving. The recall covers more than 46,000 Cybertrucks, built from November 2023 through February 27 of this year.
This is reportedly the eighth recall of the Tesla-made vehicles since January 2024. Previous Cybertruck recalls involved failing windshield wipers, trapped accelerator pedals and other issues. The company said in a filing with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that it began investigating the latest issue, involving a piece formally known as the cant rail, in January this year. Tesla noted that only about 1% of this model were defective but that it would recall all the vehicles as a precautionary measure.
"The cant rail, a stainless-steel exterior trim panel, can delaminate and detach from the vehicle. A detached panel can become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash," said the filing, as quoted by BBC. Tesla reported to NHTSA that they received around 150 claims from drivers concerning the issue but had no knowledge of any accidents.
