Highest Tax Paying Indian Celebrities: Shah Rukh Khan Tops The List With Rs 92 Crore

Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan is the highest tax-paying Indian celebrity for the financial year 2024. A recent report by Fortune India has revealed that SRK paid Rs 92 crore in FY24. Tamil star Thalapathy Vijay came second in the list by paying Rs 80 crore in taxes. 

Salman Khan, another popular Bollywood actor, paid Rs 75 crore in taxes and secured third spot in the list after Thalapathy Vijay. Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan ranked fourth with a tax contribution of Rs 71 crore. According to Fortune India, cricketer Virat Kohli is the highest taxpayer among sportspersons, as he paid Rs 66 crore in taxes. Other notable tax payers include actor Ajay Devgn (Rs 42 crore) and former Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni (Rs 38 crore).

Actor Ranbir Kapoor came next, having paid Rs 36 crore in taxes. Meanwhile, Sachin Tendulkar and Hrithik Roshan each paid taxes totaling Rs 28 crore during this time. Kapil Sharma contributed Rs 26 crore this year. Two South Indian superstars, Mohanlal and Allu Arjun, also made it onto the list with a total of Rs 14 crore each.
